Canned or non-perishable food items will be accepted by Student Council at Lafayette County C-1 School in lieu of admission for the Greyhound-Husker basketball games scheduled at Higginsville for Tuesday evening, December 12th.


Results of the second air quality test indicate it is safe for students and staff to return to school tomorrow, 12/12. School will be in session!

A textcaster message went out earlier today to inform parents and students that there is no school Friday, December 8th. This will be an AMI day so that the day will not have to be made up.
JH/HS students need to check emails and google classroom tomorrow for any info from their teachers. Elementary students should have their AMI packets in their take home folders.
If you do not receive textcaster messages, you are strongly encouraged to sign up for them via district website at sweetsprings.k12.mo.us

Congratulations to Senior Tanner Dohrman for being selected as KMZU's 8-Man Defensive Player of the Year for 2023! Also, congratulations to Senior Seth Rader for being selected to be on KMZU's 8-Man Dream Team as an offensive player from Sweet Springs.



December Dates to Remember...


HS boys and girls basketball teams battled hard on the court last night in their games at Northwest. Although they had tough losses last night, both teams pulled off a "W" this afternoon at home in their games versus LaMonte. Congrats, Coaches and Athletes!

Holiday Spirit Days: 12 Days of Christmas!


*JH Basketball games versus Slater at home tonight = a win for the girls and a loss for the boys.
*HS Basketball games versus Southwest Livingston at home tonight = a win for both boys and girls.

Preschool hosted some fun activities to celebrate and honor their grandparents as part of the Grandparents Day celebration held at Sweet Springs Elementary today.





Monday, November 20th, was Career Day at the Elementary Building. Thank you to our local community members who volunteered their time to participate in this event to allow our students an opportunity to learn about various careers in our area.

Sweet Springs R-VII School District has a new look for their website. They also have an app you can download onto your phone for easier access to live news feeds, school menus, and events. Website address is same as before: sweetsprings.k12.mo.us and the app can be found through your phone's app store or by using the QR code found in the image below.


Per the 2023-2024 District Calendar, school will be in session on Monday & Tuesday of next week. School will be closed for Thanksgiving Break Wednesday through Friday.

The elementary building honored local Veterans during an assembly this afternoon. The students at the junior high/high school building participated in an Escape Room activity with codes to break relating to Veteran's Day. It's District Championship Game Day, Greyhound Nation! Kickoff for tonight's game between the Greyhounds & the Saints is 7 p.m. Because this is the District Championship title game, passes cannot be accepted and fans will have to pay to watch the broadcast via livestream. Livestream access link can be found below. (Cost for livestream is $10.) Game will also be on KMMO radio.
*Tonight's admission is $6 for ages 6 and up. 5 and under are free. Senior Citizens will also be free for tonight's game. Again, no passes accepted.
*As a reminder, we encourage students to attend games to watch and show their support. However, students will not be allowed to run around on district property. Students found running around will be asked to sit with their parents/guardians. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our athletic events a safe and positive environment for all attending.
