American Government
In this class students will learn about the structure of the United States government. We will begin with the history of our independence from Britain, then move on to the inspirations for our constitution. Every student in Missouri is required to pass a constitution test to graduate. The Constitution test in this class covers both the US Constitution and the Missouri Constitution. We will then investigate each branch of government and learn how they work together. The class ends with discussions on civil rights, politics, and running for office.

This course final in the Spring is the Government EOC as required by the state. We will spend sufficient time preparing for this test.

For the first time, this class will be offered for Dual Credit through UCM at $85 per credit hour. Enrollment is done in the spring since this is a year-long course.
